Our Commitment to Providing Skilled Dental Assistants
These are unique times and require unique actions! At DOT we continue to provide the most elite, highly skilled cross-trained dental assistants. We feel that now, more than ever the dental profession will demand quality trained assistants. For the last 13 years, dental offices have placed their trust and supported our program in meeting the needs of dental offices all over the state.
We will continue to meet dentists’ demands and meet the needs of offices in these unique times. We are closely following the ADA recommendation and will implement any changes that may occur in our curriculum. Additionally, we will continue to communicate with individual dental offices as to their changes and or recommendations in implementing additional training that they may want in hiring new employees.
Our desire and passion for dentistry drive us into action and we want to help and will find solutions! With some questions that surface, our hope is to find the answers so that we can provide a solution to any staff alterations, additions, or education.
- Are offices adding additional staff and why? Do they have staff members retiring or are they putting current employees through any additional training and do they need help establishing new guidelines? Are they adding additional equipment and PPE that will need overseeing daily and between each patient?
- Do offices add additional positions? Might they be hiring sterilization technicians and possible front office personnel to accommodate patient greeting, seating, and finally chairside techniques?
- Some offices may hire dental hygiene assistants.
This may require additional employees and so the need for new employees is real. Dental assisting was and will continue to be one of the fastest-growing occupations and we will continue to deliver to our dental community
Our staff has over 100 years of combined experience and we have seen so many changes over the decades, none like this one but we will prevail. The dental community is a tightly wound team. We will join together to find all the answers, provide the utmost and impressive patient care to ensure the health and well-being of the entire community. Patient care will continue to evolve to meet the needs of patients, staff, and the community. Meet our Instructors in Indiana and Southwest Florida.
We all must join together in these trying times to support each other and work together as a team to achieve our goals.
